Damn, wasn't expecting this with Mina. I mean I know it's the goal in the end but it's still hard. Hope the main character will have a very good ending because the path leading to it won't be a piece of cake between that and Ifuma.

Yeah, tried a few saves from different versions to no avail. Rollback doesn't work and eventually opens a text editor with the traceback and Ignore just starts the whole game from scratch.

Here's the full traceback, it's gibberish to me but maybe it helps, dunno.

That Xerxes rework was awesome.

Edit: There's a minor inconsistency due to the rework later on Idris when you're leaving and find Nyx and Arin discussing how you met Nyx. And maybe some stuff in the codex, but that's really not a big deal to be honest.

That sounds nice, looking forward to it. Enjoy your vacation, you deserve it.

Congratulations ! And thanks for your hard work, it's been an amazing journey and a pretty good game.

There are a couple issues with the game on Linux as of now (0.2.0) :

  • the executable isn't set as executable (easy to fix with the chmod command)
  • the executable still has the old name (Phoenixes-0.1.0.x86_64) instead of just Phoenixes (has to be the same name as the .pck file it seems)
  • the game can't save its settings or save at all : from what the log says, it can't create the folders it needs to do so (by the way there seems to be a typo and it tries to create/access a folder named "Phonexies"). Creating the folders manually don't solve the issue though settings are saved correctly
  • the game freezes on quit, have to kill it through the terminal

Other than that, the game itself seems to work fine, the rendering, the animations, the text and stuff. Here's the full log.

I guess I know what I'm playing tonight, thank you.

Looks like it's there now.

You can check the dev log, there's a post for each early access and each public version. It seems to be around a month.

0.2.7: EA Feb 5, Public March 2, 0.2.8: EA March 6, Public April 1, 0.2.9: EA April 3, Public April 30.

Yeah, I wondered how close to the end we were. Not gonna lie I'm gonna be sad when it ends but it's a really nice game.

Exactly what I needed for my week-end !

From what I understand they downloaded the whole game when it was in v0.13.2 and the patch framework was introduced.

Then they applied the patch to get it to v0.14 and it worked fine (so unless there's a difference between a patched v0.14 and a fresh one it should be fine to apply the v0.15 patch on top of it).

Finally comes the time to install the v0.15 patch and it doesn't work anymore. I can confirm that happens, Ren'Py gives an error.

The whole v0.15 download works though so I'm not sure what's wrong with the patch files (other than having a non-executable Harem_Hotel.sh, but that's easily fixed).

You can check the box for Linux too as it runs fine on it as well, at least the demo.

Damn, the remains of Sutter's crew weren't exactly the sharpest tools in the shed, were they ? I'd ask how they could survive this long but I guess it's thanks to Sutter.

Anyway, I'm sad this will end soon but it was truly a fantastic journey and game. Looking forward to the next one. Thank you.

Can't help but sing "Hey There Delilah" each time I sell her things, it's stuck in my head. Send help.

It's one of her scene previously categorized as "Morale" in the gallery, so it's under the "Raise morale" dialog tree. Search for "A good bum".

Soon. Before the end of the month on Patreon and a week later here according to the latest devlog.

Because the game was rebooted with 0.2.0 as per one of the devlog.

Damn, this was a very nice journey, I'll come back for more and to see where it leads in the end. Hope Syd makes the right call and gets out before it's too late.

By the way I've played all the way on Linux so you can definitely flag the game as Linux-compatible (script is in the -pc archive, like with most if not all Ren'py VN, guess it does it automatically or something).

The brief description for the game is "Story-focused mystery harem game" so it's more like you can loose path with some girls if you aren't careful enough with your choices, just like in Once in a lifetime.

Damn, my heart hurts.

You likely need to make it executable with the chmod command. I had to make lib/linux-x86_64/MyFallenAngels executable as well and the the game launched fine afterwards.

In one of the class events the headmaster asks Faye about the Czar's mysticism advisor (something like that) and gives her a musical hint using Boney M's Rasputin lyrics (the first two lines and "Ra ra").

Not sure if that Boney M reference is crazy or pure genius. Likely both. It definitely made my day though !

I think there's an issue that locks the Event pictures again when you got them in v0.13.1 and then load the save in v0.13.2.

Someone may have gone around upvoting them (at least for the 20 last days), you know for... balance.

0.5 ending feels like I've stepped into a rancor's den naked with my bare hands as sole weapon. And then I poked the rancor because I was bored.

I like the game though, and I look forward to the next updates.

Edit: The bit with Helen before that is no doubt my favorite, heh.
